ONE LAST LIGHT

She thought her entrance witnessed a rather
unusual serene welcome. Cautiously and hastening her entry, she let
out a scream at the sight of that which she beheld.

Anxiously perplexed, she motioned for confirmation and
resuscitation at her twin brother's lifeless body which laid on the
floor. Confirming her fear, she wailed after which she ran helter
skelter for help.

As soon as help came, her brother's corpse was
arrayed and his funeral was arranged for the morrow according to her
jurisdiction. Her night was full of sobs as she apostrophically
addressed her him. " You promised you would be there for me, you said;
you would be my father and mother, you said; if I ever got scared I
should call your name and you would be there".

How can you leave me at your most needed hour? She lamented. At
dawn, she felt bereft as the last sand dropped having an understanding
that a part of her had left. This led to a realization that her
brother, best friend, family, infact the most important person in her
life had gone.
She's been left alone in this world, alone with her chi, for
her last light had been put out.
