Like a potter cherishes clay
Like solar in need of ray
And man the coming day
Moro'nke'
Like a nation cherishes her leader
And seeks a healer
For what I cherish is bigger
That which I cherish, to me a healer
Moro'nke'
Now, those days are gone
When from fear I run
From life so fake and raw
From those who with love deceive
And all I have receive
When they see its bottom
Then stab the heart and leave
Leaving it to die or heal
From then I decide
Myself, my love reside
And when they come recite
It's fake so don't rely
For with time t'wil die
And my heart and I are pal
Like light, in a new day she came
Like christ to the lame
And life to him relayed
With little or nothing to pay
She appeared from far
With beauty not found around
With smile so cute and scarce
And hair so long and relaxed
To my man she came to give
A message with her friend I think
And I with him to chill
But my eyes unable to leave
A beauty again I might not see
Despite the words I sing
To run from the bad I'eve seen
So hard my heart to her seems stuck
Then decide to go for her
Unaware its a fight
A fight against many so tight
A great fight to own her heart
I think like me, gone through the tide.
Hurray!!!
Victory I have atlast
Her heart I fought to have
To keep and cherish for life
And as they say
Long is the stay of that which one toiled to have
A healer who healed my heart
You n'ko' what do you have?
To cherish for life
'Emi' ron'ke' ni'te'mi.
