so much diversity parading cultural values,
Ethnicity an Africano heritage
The deities goodness for several centuries
Lived in harmony, strife and even war

Until the white came
toyed with our primitiveness
Brought with him English
briefcase: religion, education
Civilization, governance, sovereign,
The era of imperialism.

But alas,liberty ayed
Freed from servitude to that which
The white lords dyed
Like soot white in heart
Glorious liberty
A freed country, democracy
